Myself, I adored that book, it was so good. It made you think too. What did it make you think? Good or bad book in your case? What did you get out of it?

I read it several years ago for a children's literature class in college. I remember disliking it--not because it wasn't well written--but because some of the characters were just so mean. I didn't like the journey it was taking me on. It was a hard book to read, for me, because I don't like emotionally disturbing books. But it was very well written and I can see why it won so many awards.

I was an aide in an ELD class that read that book but i don't really remember what it was about. I know it had an old guy in it. And i don't remember what his name was. I had to grade their papers and well i listened to them read when i had nothing to do but i don't really remember. I was probably doing homework from another class. I just remeber it was an okay book.
