Considering the state of the planet, the state of it's various governments and climate, it is becoming obvious that human beings will not be here much longer. That being so, is it fair to be bringing children into this uncertain, evil world?

That's what I've been wondering. Even though the people before me didn't necessarily agree with you, I do. I think that the world will last beyond our children, but I still find it hard to believe that people want to bring kids into this terrible place. There are just so many problems in this world that don't seem to be getting solved quick enough, and bringing another life just won't help solve any more problems, unless I have a child that has a solution to every situation out there. Thanks for your ensightful question, I've been thinking about the very same thing.

Humans are overwhelming the planet, over 6 billion of us, using increasingly scarce resources, generating pollution and waste, etc.

We should certainly collectively have smaller families for a few generations, to bring our total number down to a more sustainable level.
