The general format is the same. You just need to know the bases.

octal-8
hex-16
binary-2

Suppose no.=148

Take 148 and divide by your base.
Note the remainder(if none, it's zero)

Take the result without the remainder and divide by your base.
Again, note the remainder.

Repeat the step until the result without remainder is zero.

The remainders in order, backwards will give your answer.

Binary
148/2=74 R0
74/2=37 R0
37/2=18 R1
18/2=9 R0
9/2=4 R1
4/2=2 R0
2/2=1 R0
1/2=0 R1
10010100

Octal
148/8=18 R4
18/8=2 R2
2/8=0 R2
224

Hex
148/16=9 R4
9/16=0 R9
94

Well, this isnt really a proper question is it?

If you are looking for a site that will help you make the conversions...there are many sites that will do that for you... there are some that will even do the translating for you, if you type in the raw code. A simple search on any of the engines, like Yahoo! or Google, will turn out more of them than you will need, heheheh

Have Fun..... and next time, if you will add some details, we may be better able to help answer your question. :)

If you just want quick conversions, you can do that with the calculator in Windows 2K or XP. Click Start | Run, then type CALC and hit OK. Be default, it's not set to do those conversions, so click View, then Scientific.

What else do you want to know? How to do it manually?

Can you be more specific? Ie. in which language you would like to do the conversion?
