Ok I just found out...I mean this ticks me off. Did you know you can't be a lesbian unless you like women?? Seriously, I was denied membership, based on my sexual orientation. Thats not right! I just want to join a group, make friends, maybe do some community service, but NOOOOO, I don't date women so I can't be a lesbian? Man thats not right!

Well, that is the technical definition of lesbian: a woman who is sexually attracted to other women instead of to men. If the group you wanted to join is specifically for lesbians, then your sexual orientation is an issue. There should be no suprise at your denial.
Private clubs are allowed to make those decisions.
