Why are men in our society always considered right over women?

Why are men considered superior to women? Why are men always in control all the time? Why are men viewed as more powerful than women in the American society?

Our society is actually changing this. It still may seem like a man-ruled world, but think back to when women couldn't vote, work, own land, etc, etc. Women today have it alot better off then the women of yester years.

Although women form almost half of the humanity...their presence or power is not felt in equal proportion. The reasons are many-apart from physical power, they are considered inferior in many other fields.
It is not the men that think women are inferior...the women themselves don't actually consider themselves powerful or successful enough unless their power/success is recognized by men.
so it is a men run world, and society...it has been like that for long enough.
there are some hard questions to be answered...does the women have enough unity, and strength to take themselves at par with men.....and that too without any help from the men?
And what type of a world that would be.
Moreover does this scenario include some real warfare led by women (it is also a reason that the women never fight/fought/waged any wars).....
Last but not the least...In our world in all the species both the genders are given their special qualities, and also duties that help running the family and society...isn't it good enough.

If you want to know as to why men are considered superior to women, then it could be due to the specific area of their supremacy applied, which only men can only conclude.

Men in the American society could be viewed as more powerful than women on account of many socio-economic, political and cultural anomalies applicable there.

Do not compare men with women. they were 100% different from each other. There should not be any comparison because in a family men and women ROLE were different. Women want to be loved. Men want to be respected. women always concerned about family ,relationships . they were driven by mostly feelings and emotions. Men are more of analytical, target oriented always talks and feel proud about their career achievements. GOD created both with different design to fulfil the requirement of a MARRIAGE (family) . it is the first institution established by GOD on earth. If she speaks up and is openly strong she brings out the resentment of people who think she should be more quiet and "feminine"; but if she is quiet and keeps her strength and intelligence nobody knows its there. Women who appear more masculine has fewer problems with the above, but even they are often looked down on for their lack of femininity. Women who may have a couple of impressive PhD's to throw around may get some more people to listen to them, but they're not the majority; and even they, too, have problems.

People tend to expect women to be feminine (or bring on the disdain), but then when a woman is feminine she isn't taken seriously because "who could take someone so fluffy and delicate seriously". Also, people who have resentments about how their own mothers did things often believe that all women are like their own mothers, and they resent women just based on that.

We often hear about "the feminization of America" when someone wants to point out how "soft" many people in our culture have become (as opposed to being tough and strong); so this kind of attitude is coming from people who are too stupid to realize that even "soft-looking" women may be tough and strong and objective and strategic and smart on the inside.

Even children tend to respect men more because men can be "scarier", so woman are up against a large percentage of the men in the world, a large percentage of children in the world, and a large percentage of other women (who are out to prove that we are not more feminine, more intelligent, stronger, wiser or more anything else that's a positive and respected thing than they are because somewhere in their hardwiring they are competing with their sisters. Finally, too, there are people who come from families with roots in a different culture where women were not seen as equals. It can take generations for people to overcome their upbringing.

These are some of the reasons women are constantly not listened to, not seen as brilliant and strong and tough, and generally have to struggle against attempts to be kept down and inferior. There is an advantage to more testosterone and a bigger skeleton, whether or not the type of intelligence that's associated with understanding human nature and the big picture is the type generally associated with the "feminine" part of the brain.
