I have a friend who went back to college a couple of years ago, had little science background, and just got into a good nursing school. She's 45 and her gpa (before she went back to school) wasn't nearly as good as yours. She was admitted ahead of people with better grades because she had worked really hard and could make a good case that she was sure that this was the right career path for her. Just keep working hard and remember that its a positive thing that you've taken some time to be sure that this is what you want. If you need help with your courses, remember to ask for it. Study with other people, talk to your profs if you have trouble, and get a tutor if you need one. Good Luck!

I'm not sure about that particular schools requirements for nursing, but at my nursing school we had to complete a bunch of science classes (physiology, chemistry, anatomy, nutrition, ect)before we would even get accepted for the BSN program. Id check into that schools requirements because if there are required science classes, you really dont hvae any chance of getting into the program, even if u have the best gpa.

maybe. some universities furnish a nursing as a "2d degree determination". What which ability is which you would be waiting to end a 4 year BN in 3 (or maybe 2-2.5) years. courses that grant a 2 year determination many times run as 24 consecutive months. particularly, any proper course electives or standards which you have as area of your first degree (English, Chemistry, Stats, Psychology etc.) will pass precise in. Nursing is frequently a technical skills based application crowned off with some nursing concept and proper electives courses to around out this technique. it is the reason you are going to be an RN with in basic terms a 2 year degree or a 4 year degree. The "nursing" factor in terms of scientific care is largely the same for the two courses. The 4 year degree focuses extra on "stepped forward nursing concept", public wellness, etc. and provides some extra courses like Stats. reckoning on your specific application, you could or could not be waiting to heavily shorten your application. Your GPA and any front exams will all could desire to be aggressive nevertheless, needless to say. many times, as quickly as you have a level, they'll in basic terms look at your positioned up-secondary marks (till you in basic terms took pre-reqs at a extreme college point). So this could help in case you have been a extra useful college than extreme college pupil. ;) in case you desire to do an RN degree (2 year), then it is not likely that a level will help plenty, as this application is extra "palms-on" technical training based (i.e. college, not college, point). This application is amazingly tightly based with particular nursing proper courses. you're transforming into one or 2 application electives which you will pass in, yet it is it. I recommend you call the interior of sight college you desire to word for. I additionally recommend you interest shadow a nurse and actually look into the occupation first. i'm happy which you seem to particularly instruct an pastime in nursing. many human beings think of that transforming into an RN is a speedy and common thank you to make a powerful earnings and characteristic interest secure practices. those human beings tend to finally end up very unhappy and disillusioned with a nursing occupation. there is an extremely extreme turn over in nursing, and thanks to numerous reasons, you may desire to particularly in basic terms bypass into it because of fact they experience it is a calling. i hit upon that sometimes the "downsides" of nursing are minimized to new and/or ability scholars. yet that reported, it is an extremely rewarding occupation if it is the astounding determination for you. sturdy good fortune!
