Yes,you can truly forgive but personally you can't forget but the best thing to do is deal with that issue and put it to bed.
If you keep dwelling on it and can't forget then it's best to leave because all you's will do is fight about it.

Everyone has their own limits as to what amount of hurt they can bear and still continue a happy marriage. Maybe if you give the situation time and see how you feel then you can answer that question for yourself.
Some people are very forgiving other are not. I myself can always feel when there is "too much water under the bridge" to go back and continue again in a positive way without feeling that I'm wasting my precious life time with another person.
A person can forgive, meaning they can continue forward in their lives and not remain stuck in the past pain, BUT that doesn't necessarily mean that they forget what happened NOR does it necessarily mean that they continue in the relationship either.
Good Luck.

You can forgive, forgetting is harder. And the person above is right, it's never the same....but do you really want it to be the same. I mean there was something back there that caused the hurt from both sides to begin with.
Take this opportunity to get over it, forgive him/her and start over and build something better. No, it's not easy. Love never is.
Of course if you don't really love the person, then move on.

I'm looking for the answer to that myself. I know it's very difficult. You want things to work, but once betrayal enters the picture, things are never the same. Everything that was up until that point suddenly seems like a lie. I suppose it just depends on the parties involved, and what they think constitutes a happy marriage.

To forgive is easier than to forget. Once we get hurt, everything will not be the same again. There will always a scar in our heart. Having love and hate feeling to a person who we once trusted the most is really terrible. Just hope time will heal our pain and we able to forget ......

We can forgive and love can dull the pain of hurt, but we have to truely believe that the feelings that caused the person to hurt us are gone. there will otherwise be suspicion that the hurt could return,
