Start with character, then come up with a main problem to overcome, and some complications. Let the characters react normally as you've designed them, to solve the problems.

I'm not sure what you mean by brainstorming here. If you want to write an interracial love story then get after it. You have the pick of many races to throw into the plot; it's up to you.

Start off the story with tension to first attract the reader. Keep it going by inserting pointed dialogue. You should have a general outline or plot to start. The problems that society in general have about mixed relations will certainly come to play, but you'll need more than just the racial theme.

Of course you'd need to draw upon your own experiences and of those you've known having gone the route in interracial love. You'll have to decide whether to write of totally skin color difference--black and white for example--and how it affects the couple and the locale. Different ethnicity, customs, and cultures can come into play as well.

It's a wide open field; start exploring it.

You might want to start out with the characters. Since inter-racial love is a touchy subject for quite a lot of people, it's good to set your base with the people who are falling in love. That way, you can branch off and itno their lives to see what's wrong with their families that makes them not want to support them before going and giving an even bigger picture of the other people, such as friends, teachers, people on the street, shop owners, etc.

After you have your characters, start thinking about settings and meetings. When are they going to meet? How will they meet? Where will they meet? How old are they?

Then, come up with basic ideas. Here's an exercise you can do:

Get a sheet of paper and something to write with (or type on the computer, whichever is easier). Find an egg timer or set an alarm clock for five minutes ahead and once it's set, start writing everything you think about for this story. Don't stop, just write. Don't pause because you don't like the idea, just keep writing. If you don't finish a thought, move on to the next one. Don't wait.

When your time is up, take a look at your list and separate out the ideas into three groups.

Good ideas.

Decent ideas.

Bad ideas.

Once you've got that, write ALL the ideas out somewhere with those titles. Although many people will tell you that you should toss an idea once you've deemed it bad, that's not true. Keep the ideas somewhere safe so in the more than likely event you need an idea, it'll be under your 'Bad Idea' list waiting for you, hence making it a good one.

So we've covered characters, setting, meeting, and a little bit of brainstorming. There are different things you can do to help brainstorm as well.

Try interviewing people on their views on inter-racial relationships. Ask them why they feel the way they do, and if they know anyone who is in that type of situation. Ask them how it makes them feel, how they'd act if a couple like that were to start talking to them, things like that.

It may also be useful to do some research on the internet where you'll be able to find sites that were created specifically for people in an inter-racial relationship or thinking about going into one. Simply find a couple and ask them what some problems they had were, and do this to a few pairs. You'll find loads of ideas there.

First, you gotta learn sentence structure. You must remember to begin every sentence with a capital letter. Interview people who are in interracial relationships and ask them about their experiences and how their relationship has changed them for the better, or worse.
