should i take admission to engineering for a better life style or persue my dream of becoming a movie director

i am a big fan of hollywood movies.i just dont watch them but also evaluate them about how they would have been made better.but i come from a middle class family.my parents tink that i am day dreaming.they think the only way to earn big money for a middle class indian is to become a doctor or an engineer.i have got admission for I.T.in bombay univercity.but i dont know weather to go with it or not.my brother thinks i should frist complete my engineering .have an option and then persue my dreams.but that means spending four years of my life.my parents do not know about my dreams but they have never been suportive in art matters they always discourage me saying that i can not do any thing in art field and if i go there i will never succeed and my life style will become poor.i want be like steven spilberg.great ideas come to my mind all the time about stories.i dont know much about camera's but i dream to learn from FTII.i think wiht write training i will definitely become a good director

With a engineering degree in hand you will be able to command a respectably salary. Work a few years and you can save up a decent amount of money and launch your own indpendent film. In the interim write a script, watch tons of movies, network, etc. etc.

i think u should complete ur studies first whatever course u choose
it doesnt matters. then u decide what to choose as carrier.
