No you are not overweight!
You look fine and are still growing so don't start restricting your diet at your age or you will have a harder problem as you grow older.
If you are totally worried then just cut out the junk food and cheat on Saturday night.
Another idea is to just not eat after 8pm.
Easy things which will not restict you and will not interfere with your growing.
Know what happens when you start exercise programs? you train your body to expect this activity and save calories accordingly...in other words - once you start you cannot stop.
Just exercise the way you like to...bike, walk, hike etc. Don't get all "I have to work out three times a week to lose weight" or again, your body will expect it and will conserve energy/calories for these endevours.
Better to leave such programs to those who are truely overweight or adults.

At 12 years old, you are about to have a big growth spurt. You will grow taller, and thinner. I would just make sure that I don't eat too much bad stuff, and make sure that I don't sit on the couch all day long. Go out and have fun while you still can. The girl up there somewhere said it correct when she said that you have many years of your teens to be so freakin concerned about your weight. Go play!

I'm not sure, if she's fat or not, she's always asking me that but I really don't have an answer. Any answer would help. Oh yeah she's also 12

please don't worry about it!

I know it is very difficult to learn to love your body. when I was 12 I felt the same way. now i am 19, and still learning. But I have also learned that there are so many things that are so much more important to worry about!!! just take good care of yourself, eat healthfully (and that includes some treats!) , try bike riding or swimming, (an exercise that is enjoyable) and have fun!

and dont forget, you are still growing taller. any kind of diet or hardcore exercise would NOT be healthy.

At 12 years old it's just puppy fat, People probably tell you that all the time, But it's true.. Your body will adapt to a more nuetural weight when your hormones settle down..

Don't waste your time worrying about your weight at your age, You'll have the rest of your teens to do that, Trust me! *lol*

First of all, don't obsess about your weight, you are only twelve. Your body is changing and will be changing for awhile. I didn't lose my 'baby fat' until I hit sixteen, and since I had been psychologically worked on by my folks to be concerned about my weight, I became anorexic.

I would say for your age, you need to just be more active by going for walks, riding your bike, or picking up a sport.

yes you are overweight but when you hit your growth spurt, youll porb grow about 2-3 inches it will spread out more and youll outgrow it dont worry. For now though just join a swim team or start bike riding, swimming is the best sport to lose and tone up your body everywhere

at 12 years old it's really difficult to define overweight. your body is still growing. don't worry about how much you weigh. worry about how active you are. how do you eat. form habits today that will keep you healthy later. it's not about weight it's about lifestyle.

You are just a little bit on the chubby side. You will soon store all those nutrients and grow tall. Extra excercise is not needed!
