I added an albino catfish with my mollys and feeder fish (all gentle fish) and they attacked and killed it....

Why did this happen? The lady at the pet store told me the catfish would get big and eat everything but even the feeder fish attacked it!

np pnce i put it in the tank they all nipped at it.

If it happened soon after you added the new fish, probably it didn't like the water or the temperature or suffered stress while transporting and became sick /or was sick already/ and the others attacked and ate it. Healthy fish usually attack sick fish and kill them.
Did you have an albino catfish or albino corydoras?
By the way albino corydoras won't be very big...

Maybe the catfish did something to assert it's arrival and the other fish didn't recognize it to be a catfish.

I think your catfish died becos of virus. once died, molly will feed on it and not so they have killed the catfish.
Yes catfish will grew very large and will eat up your molly if fully grow.

Chances are, your catfish, though it may not have shown signs, was sick.

Fish tend to pick on and kill other sick fish.

oh my gosh, that's funny and crazy at the same time! the gentle fish were probably frightened, and didn't recognize the albino fish.

if you have too many fish in a tank and they are over crowded, most any fish will attack new fish.
