at night she sleeps great like at least 6 hours or more
Also i am not worried about her being fat i firmly believe that she will and she does tell me when she is full. My wife is very concerned. She read in some book that at her age she should not have more than 32 ounces in 24hrs and she thinks i give her to much food

my wife's milk supply never came in good because of health issues. She does breast feed like once or twice a day but the breast dries up before she is full then we give a bottle. She tried pumping every two hours to get it up but it didn't work

Is she breastfeeding at all? Breastfeeding has been proven to reduce the chances of obesity later in life. It has the good fat baby needs to develop, but none of the fillers. It's the perfect food, that changes to meets baby's needs as she develops.
If she's solely bottle-feeding, compare it to how baby eats at the breast, they eat till they're full and then they stop. Same thing, it's just in the bottle, you can actually count the ounces. It may actually be a good sign that her body rhythm is recognizing bed time/day time. She'll eat more in anticipation of not eating again in a while.
A baby lets you know when she's hungry, and when she's done. When she's full, she'll turn away and stop sucking.
P.S. If she's not breastfeeding, there's a chance she could relactate, consult a lactation consultant for help.

Talk to your pediatrician. My 3 month old boy eats 5 ounces 5 times a day but he is my 3rd child and I will tell you that all 3 of my children have had very different eating habits. One of my kids never took over 4 ounces and one of them took 6 ounces at 7 weeks. You need to ask your pediatrician. All babies are different.
Your wife is right about the 32 ounce thing. Again, talk to your pediatrician. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you called.

Ok...throw your fat worries away right now...a baby will only eat until full...don't limit the amount of food give b/c you are afraid of her being fat. Babies range in size...my 9 month old is a piggie...but barely weighs 18 lbs...she is in the bottom percentile for her age, she is just little...but she tells me when she is full...All babies eat various amounts...she will eat more as she nears a growth spurt and less if she doesn't feel well...what I did was make an 8 oz. bottle...if she ate is all ok...if not it can be refrigerated. If you two are that concerned...talk to a nutritionist.

How often are you feeding her? I gave my son breastmilk... and at that age, it was 3 oz. per feeding (I had to pump for the first 10 weeks) 8 - 10 feeding per day (until he was able to nurse directly). The pediatrician recommended no more than 32 oz. breastmilk or formula) per 24 hours. My son was born 12 days early... 7.4 lbs. and is a big baby. Both me and my husband are skinny and even then I worried about overfeeding. If you and your wife are on the heavy side, I would definitely consult with the doctor. Their advice should be taken seriously.

Sounds good to me. A baby will stop eatting when they are no longer hungry. No worry about over feeding. On avrage they will eat about 5-6 oz at that age so no worries.

All babies are different in what they want to eat in one sitting. I have two children and my first born she ate like crazy but my second born was very picky on what he ate, but trust me they know what they want and they know when they are full for the most part. I know when i brought my first daughter home from the hospital i was sure that if i did one little thing wrong it was going to kill her because she was so small and helpless. Just as long as your babies is not losing weight it should be fine.

My kids usually ate about 8 oz. every feeding They are perfectly healthy children now. Don't worry about feeding her too much at her age babies are self regulating when it comes to hunger. She won't eat unless she needs to.
