The Simpsons are the original, Family Guy is kind of an imitation of The Simpsons. But I have to admit that as much as I love my Simpsons, Family Guy sure makes me laugh a lot more.

Simpsons have been around longer and still come up with new stuff, but Family Guy is starting to repeat itself and its funnier, so I'll have to go with Family Guy right now.

No doubt in my mind, the Simpsons. Each episode of the Simpsons has some kind of social commentary.
Family guy is just silly slapstick.
