I have worker retail for 6 years in a few different stores and no where in any major store in the US is there a policy of getting cash without a receipt proving you paid cash for it. Stores would loose to much money to theft that way. Why do people get so upset and even yell and scream when the get a birthday, wedding, Christmas, etc gift they don't like and they can't get cash for it or put it on their credit card. You didn't buy it. i get crappy gifts all the time just take the store credit and call it a day

I agree. Why don't they sell them online or at a garage sale or something like that?
