Consider how your best friend or other people closed to you but out of the family circle think. Knowing that you were raised differently is already a good first step for you to break free. Followed by social and moral guidelines of where you are, you will definitely go a long way. Lastly, just be yourself. Enjoy the situation of where you are.

Mind is the raeson for freedom and slavary. So work on mind.To work on the sub consious mind and purify the same from ill programmed by self and others in this birth and THE earlier births,MEDITATION is the best way. There are different types of meditation techniques....(MY 360 Friend Pham from vietnam has put entire blog for this) Also ...reading will help you to let loose from the save mind.Find some books which deals in applied psycology.you are looking for a timeless mind . ''Timeless mind'' means mind without memory and impression of the time...child hood, youth or whatever.
Try to be in present to beat the past and future . when you remain in present , time effect is nullified.AND YOU ARE LIBERATED
And to be in present ....(your present is your breath)...control your breath....practice breathing exercise...once you get resonance and rythem... your body and mind will syncronise and thus you will remain in the permanent state of ''timelessness''...and thus your mind will feel free... unless you do it regualrly ,you will not experience the magic ...best luck

Pick yourself up,dust yourself off, and get started again! These are words to an old song but they are true. Look up and over, your trouble, to the goals you have set and never look down or back again. If you look back you maysee the problems and pressures trying to pull you back! You can succeed if YOU want to. God is with you.

It depends on your age......If your are old enough, naturally,
it will be difficult.....Also, what kind of pressures?
We only live once in this life........and you are YOU....no one else, in this world is YOU......believe in yourself.....do whatever,it takes. If,as you said, its pressures.....In one ear and out the other.
You only, can make that decision......Break away, and fly like a bird....the world is waiting for you.

I taught at a school for children with severe behavior disorders. They had a big banner on the wall that said, "So what if your mother beat you, she is not beating you right now" a little extreme, I know, but right to the point.

Many a great man and woman grew up under terrible circumstance, yet they went on to do great things. It comes down to your choices in life. Yes, you may have to resist certain urges, but that is what intelligence is for.

That's tough. First they have to decide which part was good and which was not. Many people don't even get that far. But even if you do it's very difficult to "rebel". Usually takes some professional therapy I think.

first of all, what do you mean by pressures???
i know that only Jesus can truly set you free. and in my case, he brought me 2500 miles away from my family to begin the healing process.
