The establishment of Israel is what has cranked up the flames of passion in the Mid East. as long as people continue to use violence against Israel, they will get violence in return. Unless these fanatics can wipe out all of Western civilization, they will continue to suffer the consequences of their actions. The Israelis have made numerous attempts to make peace with their neighbors only to find themselves continuously under attack. Unless these aggressors realize that they are fighting a losing battle they will continue to have stronger and stronger military force visited upon them.
The problem is complicated by the fact that the Mid East is sitting on top of all of that oil.
The "Un-conquerable" Afghanistan is under occupation. Iraq will eventually become 3 countries. Iran is in the vise between Afghanistan and Iraq and will soon see it's nuclear program blown back into the stone age. The people of the Mid East have to understand that the West will not back down and that the road to peace goes through TelAviv.

The root cause of all the crisies in the Middle East is pretty simple; land and resources. After that, it just varies in degrees. Some have too much of one, others too little. For example:
-In Palestine, there is not enough land or water for everyone that lives there. It is by far and away the most over-populated place on earth. However, because the Jewish state has far more sympathy and economic and political support from the west than it should or even needs, they have to ability to alienate the Arabs around them from the land. In short, the Israelis have the land and the people to hold it, so the Arabs have learned to turn their hopelessness into a weapon to use against them (terrorism). The same holds true in Saudi Arabia. There is too much oil there which in turn means way too much money. The problem is that money is all concentrated in the hands of the few wealthy elite who simply don't know what to do with it other than buy weapons and beat the "little" guy down. In the meantime the rest of the people there have very little or nothing (as hard as it is the believe, there is a poverty problem in Saudi Arabia) so these people embrace their hopelessness, look to some sort of heavenly reward some violent and crazy zenophobe promises them in the name of God, and they go out to follow Osama bin Laden.

That's all that it is. There is really advantaged and/or wealthy people there, and there is desperately poor people there. There is no one in between and no way for the desperate to cross that divide. That alone is why there is constant violence in the Middle East.

I honestly dont know the beginning of it, everyone has their own opinion of what started it but i have seen the trend having been to iraq twice and studying alot on it. No matter what it always is some middle east militia attacking isreal for something that happened in the past and isreal utter destroying them for it. Basically its time for people to let go of the past and move on. If everyone would just let and try to make good lives everything woudl get better.

More: The problem is a culture that thinks terrorism is a path to heaven, there will never be peace as long as that culture is allowed to continue its destructive path, either they better change or we can let isreal just wipe them out either way there will be peace then.

Money is the root cause. 9/11 is the perceived cause, although it does go way deeper than that even.

Essentially if your a conspiracy theorist, the proposed solution is to remove the leaders we have from office and put some non-corrupt individuals in office.

If you don't believe the conspiracy theories, then it is essentially, pull out while we still can.

If thats not your bag of tea, the only other solution is in the works right now. A much larger force, attack, conquer and replace their government.

What I mean by in the works, go to http://thomas.loc.gov, select bill number, and type in H. R. 4752

Other than that, I am not 100% sure what else we can do.

The reason is very simple and straight forward. The root of the crisis is... The Muslim sect hate the Infidel Sect. If you are not Muslim then you are an Infidel.

The Muslim main goal in life is to have the world all Muslim. If you don't convert and it the Muslim Holy Man you follow, declares a holy war on the Infidels, you as a Muslim have the right to kill them with out a second thought.

The Muslim wants to only live with Muslims in their land. This is not possible with Jews and Christians living in their land. It is a conceptual reasoning that dates back centuries to the bible times.

The only solution is the complete extinction of either the Infidels or the Muslims.

The purpose of the Arab-Israeli conflict is to divert the anger of the Arabic people away from the tyranny, economic inequality, and social injustice in their own countries. The solution is to alleviate the suffering in the Arab world that is causing that anger, and for the people of the Arab World to wake up to the fact that they are being manipulated. Unfortunately, that will probably take a long time.

I think its a fundamental difference between two cultures of people and where they believe mankind should go. One wants for humanity to get back to its nomadic roots with strict moral restrictions and obedience to a higher authority. The other wants for humanity to move into the future with technology and to be more liberal and secular in comparison. I think it comes down to whether we are really ready to be our own stuarts. If we are, it will afford us great freedom but the responsibility of taking care of our race ie. humanity. If we arent, then we need to relinquish all technological advancements that we've gained, give up all research, and abandoned the written word save for religious text and restrict who will be taught to read and write.
