It is nothing more than a stupid tug-of-war game between the races. The whites started the game by claiming to be the superior race (“white power”) and putting down, dehumanizing, and persecuting blacks. Blacks in response to being tugged through the mud chose to pull back hard. They started to claim that they were the superior race (“black power”) and that it is really whites who are the incomplete animals. This game is played out time and time again.

The dumb thing is that while it is possible to love yourself, your race, and your culture without putting down and controlling other races, many prefer to put others down. Many prefer to claim superiority instead of recognizing that we are all different and have different needs, desires and wants. Different does not have to mean bad or wrong.

N*gger was a termed used by whites toward blacks, to mean ignorant stupid buffoonery. Blacks worked hard to gain a new name (blacks, colored, African American) and along with the new name, respect. A group of dumb blacks decided that they were going to embrace the word. They claim a dumb thing like it is a term of endearment or that they are turning the word into a positive: that is bullsh*t! If it is positive and a term of endearment, why would a white guy get his a$$ kicked if he yelled that to a crowd of black thugs? Bottom line is that the word still holds much of the same meaning that it did in the past. I can only gather that the people who use it and want the right to use it are morons.

It is a double standard. A black man shouting black power is indeed a racist but the prevailing thought among the black community is that they are somehow incapable of being racist. Pretty demented, dontcha think?

The only reason it goes on is because too many people would rather not address this slap in the face of our human rights due to being afraid of what blacks would do in response. Just look at what happened after the police were acquitted in the Rodney King trials. White people were murdered in the streets of LA for no other reason than they were white.

Hatred and racism don't have colour bias, however paradoxical that seems. It will only stop when enough people stand up to say that it is wrong and that they won't take it anymore. Demand equality from the justice system you pay for!!!

Edit: the definition of black power given below is not true in the least. The origin of black power is with the Black Panther party, who professed the undertaking of a black agenda at the expressed cost of the white man. They even modelled it after the KKK in the aspect of terror against others except that it was pro-black. People may try to take it and reclaim it like they do the N word but the truth is still that it denotes racism and the very act of trying to blur the line only further proves that people are actively looking for ways to get away with blantant racism in public.

"White power" is the call of the racist. Plain and simple. It was made up by racists, and it's definition, is something along the lines of: It's us against you, and we're gonna win, so don't turn your back on me, because you won't wake up tomorrow if you do.

Black power, by contrast, is (in my experience) much more tame in meaning. It's more like: Look! We're all black, and yet look how good we're doing! ---- OK, that was the lamest definition I've ever given, but you get the picture.

And, I don't agree with it, but black people can call each other anything they want. I'm not using that word. I know what it means.

I don't understand this either. Both actions seem racist to me. Anytime a person uses the color of their skin to proclaim their superiority over another, it is a racist act.

Racism is stupid.

Because of black people's history of oppression and their triumph of overcoming it after hundreds of years. As far as know, white people have a history of oppresing not oppression, (not meant to be insulting)
