I am reading a Law book and I find myself lost because there is a latin phrase that i dont understand " Obligatio nascuntur aux tex contractus, aux tex maleficci, aud quodam iuris et varus quasarum figuris" What does this mean?

I am a Law student and I read a book that contained the same expression and it means that obligations are born from law, contracts, post mortem agreements and from illegal actions. That is the best answer that I can give you because it is easy to translate it to Spanish because it is similar to my legal system
