I would like to know if somwone can tell me how to reconfigure form the kernell or shell, the behavior of my linux printing tail.

Note: I dont use linux to much, this is an university final work, so i would appreciate if you could give me documentation to finish it.

sorry i dont know how can I said "cola de impresión" in english... its the way the documents enque to be printed, usually first in first out

I don't understand what you're asking either. What is a "printing tail?" I've heard of a program called "tail" that outputs the end of a file or file-like object, but not a "printing tail." If that is what you are looking for, you can read general stuff about it here:

OK, I think there are a couple of things you should look at. I'm not sure which one is more closely related to your project, so you'll probably need to look at both of them. There's one protocol called LPR or LPD, and a related system called CUPS. You can read about them here:

I'm not very familiar with the details of them, but I see references to them all over my system when I configure the printers. Good luck!

Printing tail? If it's something to do with printing, then you probably don't need to mess with the kernel, but I'm not entirely sure what you are on about...
