In response to this question I will also correct the other responses which have already been posted. Fungi will be larger than bacteria. Bacteria are ALL prokaryotes (single celled organisms without a true nucleus). Fungi can be single cellular or multicellular and are ALL eukaryotes (have a nucleus). For the most part, fungi will stain darker purple or black when stained with Gram's stain while bacteria will stain either purple (Gram positive) or pink (Gram negative). Bacterial cell wall is made from peptidoglycan which is what is being stained with this particular stain.

Just depends on the fungi. Bacteria can be rods while fungi are not. Some micro bacteria and fungi can look very similar though. Just depends if the bacteria is a prokaryote or a eukaryote. Their will be no nucleus present if it is a prokaryote. It is interesting that all micro fungi don't look like small mushrooms.

Fungi cell walls are made of chitin, and bacteria cell walls are made of cellulose.

fungi have thicker cells walls than bacteria. on a wet mount (saline) they are MUCH larger and more refractile. they also have different nutritional and temperature requirements when culturing them, and the biochemicals used to identify them are also different.

sir i think... base on my observation...
microscopicaaly speaking...bacteria's cant be seen with our naked eye we can see bacteria through the use of microscope or high powedred microscope... hence, fungi can be seen with our naked eye only...
