Depends on who it is, how bad it is and what the conversation is about. Most people ( I find ) dont like being corrected. My grammer isnt too gooder and it aint getting betterer. LOL.

I hate it that my 10 year old nephew has this tendency to correct me like every single time. He's such a self righteous brat.

Most of the time
My ears are "itchy" if someone use wrong grammar
And by the way .. it should be grammar instead of grammer

No. Only people who know they will loose a debate/argument will correct someones grammar/spelling.

Because grammar is important. Many people don't realize that and so they let it slip.

No never, I think that would be rude. It maybe ok to do so if you were a teacher and those your correcting are your students but, otherwise it is completely rude to do so. After all no one is perfect.

Yes and I am probably pretty annoying when I do but I feel that I am doing them a favor so they won't look stupid and use incorrect grammar in front of others.
