What are some songs that would be really good to play on bass? I like bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic!, The Academy Is. Give me the song title and artist/band.

Hmmm, that's a really good question, I recommend The All American Rejects dance inside, that song has really great bass lines, Panic!at the disco's time to dance, Paramore's pressure, Relient K's Be my escape, and or Morningwood's nth degree. If these don't help you, sorry, my taste in music might be different from yours, if it works you have to find the music to it, which might be a little difficult.

Don't know punk or emo that much. But if you can groove on a routine on the Bass and stay in the pocket (on time) you can play anything. Try "Peg" by Steely Dan. Other than that I like "Basket Case" by Green Day. Maybe you could turn an Eagles song into Emo. :P

Uhm, I don't know about specific songs, and I like harder rock myself but what about...my chemical romance? the red hot chili peppers have a pretty decent bassist, so they might have some songs you'd like. have you heard of the band Crossfade? Two of my fav songs from them is "colors" and "cold". There's also the band Submersed. Oh, and there's that band Hawthorne Heights. That dude from Blink-182 has a new band called Angels and Airwaves. Sorry, if these bands are all over the place in terms of genre. They're all awesome though! Oh and check ouf Flyleaf. they're new song out there is called "i'm so sick." (i'm just telling you flyleaf, cuz as a female myself, i got to promote the rocker chicks that are actually succeeding in the male dominated genre of rock.) hope this helps....!

Ummm for bass? I don't know the name of the song but maybe you do. It's by Alice and Chains and the lyrics go like this: Like the coldest winter well, heaven beside me, hell within. So there's problems in your life? That's f*cked up, I'm not right. I'm just see through faded, super jaded, out of my mind.

Also I don't know if it's a bass guitar or just good drums, but Black Hole Sun by SoundGarden's bass line, gets me so hot, as it does my friends. And they listen to hip hop! Punk/Emo bass songs? What about Green Day's first album? Or Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger?
