" RUN FORREST RUN ! "

2006-08-06 17:36:18 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 2

It sounds like you have already bailed mentally and emotionally. But now that you have won money, you know you will have to part with some if it in your settlement as a marital property. If you live in Florida she gets half!!! Instead, why not change you r lives so that you can like each other again? Move, quit your jobs, live in Key West. Or get divorced, lose a chunk of your winnings in the settlement, and be besieged by women who you guess only like you for your money. Tough question, hard answers.

If I thought you were telling the truth I would tell you that I am available!! However, I doubt you actually won the power-ball and are spending your time here!

I have wondered this a million times myself. What would I do? Well, I don't have to worry about that any more since my husband is now my EX. But I had decided that I would give him some money and say Good Bye!

You should tell her. I know in CA in you don't disclose certain financial information that belongs to the community, meaning acquired during marriage, she could end up getting it all if it is discovered at a later date, whether it be one month from now or 10 years. You have fiduciary duty to the community to disclose that information. Better to do it while married, rather than afterwards, so she assumes the tax burden as well.

what do you expect to find out there? Will your money give you happiness? And if you do keep it a secret she still gets money if you divorce her; there is no way to avoid sharing the money. Life sentence is 20 to life and you know what happens in prison---see movie American Me just to refresh your mind

If she put up with you that long. Is only fair to share a small pie. Otherwise just bail

Ha! It doesn't matter if you tell her or not... half of it is going to be hers. Just split the winnings and leave without any drama.
