It depends on the font size and style, but usually when a 15,000 page manuscript is requested, the expectation is that it will be about 60 pages (including footnotes).
The assumption is that each typewritten page will be equivalent to about 250 words, but it is expected that each student will do a word count on several sample pages to see how closely their choice of font size and style matches our estimation.

If there is approximately 300 words on each page, then it's equal to 50 pages.

If you're using MSWord, go to the Tools menu and click on Word Count. If you highlighted something before doing this, it will show you the word count for the highlighted part. If nothing is highlighted, it shows the word count for the entire document.

I think there is closer to 400 words per page.
15,000/400 = 37.5
