I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand. The only thing that I can think to say is that to confirm a pregnancy, you'd need to go buy an at-home pregnancy test. Sounds like that'd be quicker than waiting around for your doctor.
As for the last intercourse or last LMD, when they give you a due date, they do it by your last LMD, and then after your first ultrasound, they may change it due to how far along the baby looks to be. In my case, my last period was at the end of April, and they put my due date at January 29, and then after the ultrasound, they bumbed it back a few days to February 1.
Good luck in figuring it all out.

Well I do not know what LMD means. and if your saying your not sure if your wife is pregnant, or not pregnant.... I would see a specialist. Believe me small town Dr's. will kill you. I feel for you and your wife, but find a specialist. I know with many medical insurance companies you need a referral to see a specialist. So please get to a specialist.
( my home town Dr. told me I was fine, even though after spending seven days in the hosp.I felt worse. For three months I begged to see a specialist and was told I was fine. Three months later I end up in the ER, the ER Dr asked why I was not at a specialist. I told why. Saw the specialist, ended up have parts of my lung removed. So do not wait. see a specialist. If I would have not seen the specialist i was told I would have been dead in a few months)

Try a home test. It could be she was pregnant, miscarried, and her body absorbed or shed the fetus. Otherwise, the doc can order blood tests, check hormone levels, then a second test two days later and see if they are increasing, decreasing, or abnormal adjustment. OR, if she is about 6 weeks along, an ultrasound should be able to see the sac and heartbeat starting at 6 weeks (which would be 4 weeks from conception). Good luck!

take a home pregnancy test.....no need to get that technical just to get a darn answer. Its either gonna be positive or negative....period. I think your saying that her period was due july 20th and it didnt come, so your assuming she is pregnant, but the docs are saying confusing things. Have you taken a home preg test? What did it say? Finding out should not be that difficult. Its been plenty long enough for a home test to show up positive. I dont understand what the problem is.
