First of all you don't ask them to do anything. Most housekeepers want to do the least amount of work possible. You need to have a list of everything that you want done and give her the list daily. After the day is over you need to inspect the work to make sure it meets your standards, or tell her how you want it done in the future. You are the boss, so have it done the way you want to, and not settle for her way. Good luck

Ask?

Heck with that, you TELL that house keeper to get you a beer. Once that's done, who the heck cares?

a good house keeper would already know, and would ask you about anything that might cross privacy boundries!

clean the coils under and behind your fridge, clean oven, the window sills opened or sliding glass door at the bottom, better yet, pull out the stove and get the sides where food and spills fall.

I would ask what service the person offers, and her charges. You can negotiate from there. If they don't do the services you are looking for (for example: the laundry), then you need to keep looking

that is what i do for a living.... never ask them to clean up cat puke or the cat box absolutely no way... and if you want them to do something make sure you are willing to pay for it... general cleaning is vacuum, dust, mop, make beds and some laundry most other things become extra for extra pay....
