In the end, I would say they (looks) are not very important at all, it is nice to feel a physical attraction.....but that only takes you so far, and certainly we all want someone who is well groomed and put together.....but not everyone is going to look like a model.
I would have to say I've done a pretty fair amount of research in the dating field, and I've dated handsome men, plain men, rich men, poor men, educated men, men of different races....ran the gamut.......in the end it's about personality and compatibility......and sense of humor.

Looks are important to people who are looking for someone to date because there has to be an initial attraction. No one ever notices anyone that is what they consider to be unattractive. However, many lasting relationships begin as friendships and looks don't matter to friends (unless they are very shallow). Once friends realize they like each other it is far beyond looks, but the bond, connection, and love they have for one another that makes the relationship so special.

I for one don't give a hoot what someone looks like ,,,but I'm not really understanding your question are you talking about dating them ? should women be more attracted to men that are better looking or on the homely side? If you want to know that i can answer that i was only interested in my husband for his mind when we first met i didn't have a clue what he looked like and when he sent me his picture he was in a group of men and said pick me out ,,i did instantly by what he had told me about himself and he was the most amazing person i had ever set eyes on ,,Very good looking ,,tall with wonder full eyes ,,,but what my idea of good looking will be completely different then my sisters or best friends ,,we all like eye candy but when it comes right down to it looks don't mean a thing ,,,,,

Looks do matter, but not every woman likes the same look. Some like big men with broad shoulders and some go for differently built men. Same goes for eyes, ears legs etc. etc. (yes it also goes for d*cksize). So, maybe looks matter, but not one special look that all women go for. And in the end it matters more what someone has got to offer on other levels than just looks. Your looks will fade but your personality will grow.

Not important at all!!! Even when i was a young girl. It's always been based on how u treat me. That's whats most important to me always has and always will.

They're sort of important in the beginning. But in the end you'll learn that looks are'nt very important at all. Its more about how a person treats you.

The guy I've been attracted to for years wouldn't be considered a 'looker' in most girls' books. It's more like the confidence he has, the way he's treated me, and the way I feel when I'm around him. Alas, I'm a chicken, so I'll never make the first move. *sigh*

Not as important as personality and sense of humor!! Being hot goes away eventually. I like to focus on what people have to offer.

For me looks aren't that important, but I do prefer straight white teeth.Thats a must!!!I love chubby guys, dont ask me why.
