1) Call the cable or satellite company.
2) Stomp my feet and mutter.
3) Possibly cry, depending on how important the show was.

kind of what happened when "Heidi" interrupted the Super Bowl ..most of you don't remember or were not born when that happened ..google it..it has been happening for a long time..network glitches they are called I guess.
Just call for a refund for the time or a "credit" for the down time ,they will give it to you..even it is just for a couple minutes....they credit me all the time.
Rescue Me is my favorite show and I plan on buying it on DVD ,they have season 1 and season II in stores now..I am missing season III but I will buy it when it comes out,it is on FX channel starring Dennis Leary ,it is about NYPD Fireman..it is a great funny ,and dramatic show.
thanks for asking.

Wait about an hour after the show would finish and then download it off Limewire or Bittorrent or Bearshare or any other P2P network. More reliable that way and is essentially like TiVo without it trying to force other shows on you. ;)

I love my TiVo!!! I always have a "backup" of stuff I haven't yet watched I can go to and enjoy until the weather clears and I get satellite signal once again.

Call the cable or satelite company and complain.

Then watch the re-run of the show on another day.

read a book, program a website(offline cause I have cable internet), work in the yard, head to the bar, grab something to eat, go to someone's house where the cable is still on.

Realize too much of your life may have been wasted already.

That the TV is NOT God and that you'll live better and happier knowing your not filling your mind with useless cliches.

Your soul will thank you.
