I think men were a bit more chivalrous back in the day, well at least they opened doors for women. That is really not so, but don't blame the fairy tales, blame women's lib. after all it wasn't till women b*tched about being treated equal that this lack of romance really seemed to start.
On a personal note, no my man doesn't do flowers, or open doors, but he does show me he loves me. I get massages every night, and a supportive ear to talk to, he holds me often, and he is always trying to make me happy.
In truth men don't know what women want anymore, and women usually want different things at different times. So will storybooks come true, no. But the message behind them still can, you can still find a man that will love you forever, that will think you are everything he has ever needed, and that is ready to share his dreams with you. There is a happily ever after, it just takes a lil work and a lot of love.

I have been married for 11 years and in the beginning he did do a lot of the prince charming things. Now it is few and far between, but I think he would still like to we just do not have the money to just throw away on flowers.

Life is not a storybook tale. Its full of surprises. In a real relationship couples have to say what they want and look for in the other. Reading your mind is not an option.

My husband brings me flowers when we can afford it. He always opens my car door for me though. It took me finding a man 16 years older than me but I found a man close enough to prince Charming for me.

Men have catered to their women since time began. Good men are hard to find, but they are still out there. If women these days weren't as easy a man would find reason to woo her with flowers kindness, and respect. >>>>One who respects women as women<<<<<

Well, my honey has his warts, but he's a good man. Occasionally he'll do little things or pick something up for me knowing I would like it. It's rare, but it does happen from time to time.

He's out there, you have to wait. When you are not looking and thinking about it, is when you will come across him, and in the most unexpected place.
