I am getting her a bike, but she still would have $60 dollars to spend! She already has a video ipod because she got it for Christmas! What should i get her?

Her brother got a Nano that is $160 so i want to be fair.

Here are a few ideas:
1) Ask her if she would like a second gift or a special dinner just the two of you?
2) A locket with her initials on it.
3) A purse or musical jewerely box.
4) Take her to her favorite store and give her the $60.00 let her pick out a gift especially for her Birthday.

Get her little earrings and things from Claire's. They've got a lot of great stuff, that's simple for pre-teens. Or, get her a gift certificate and let her pick out her own stuff on her own. She'll love it.
Girls at the age of 12 are really too old for barbies. And too young for a lot of makeup. My daughter is at this stage also. I'll let her wear some lip gloss, or body glitter - but feel that her natural beauty is enough and makeup is too much on a girl that young.
But - I think it's odd how you have a dollar amount for a present that you are giving her. Presents shouldn't be about dollars. And a bike is a really good present. Any kid would be overjoyed at that.

a padlock for the bike
a cool backpack to wear when she is riding
a neck band to wear around her neck with her house key and padlock key on it
so she doesnt lose the keys when she is riding
a bike pump and tyre repair kit that can be attched to the frame of the bike
a hat that can be worn with a helmet... so she looks cool

Sounds like a bike is enough. Don't place a $ amount on what you need to spend.

clothes, what twelve year old does not like them? Or a gift card for itunes. i would even consider takeing her to a theme park for her birthday.

maybe some jewlery or somethin or if she gets her songs from itunes then get her a itunes music card or somethin or just give her the mney in a card and tell her tht u didn't know wat else t get her so u just gave her the rest of the money so she could go get wat she wanted......or u can take her shopping to spend the rest of the money......good luck
