I think you mean f(x) = x+1.

f(g(x)) = f(x-1)=x-1+1=x

g(f(x)) = g(x+1) = x+1-1 = x

Since f(g(x)) = g(f(x)) = x, f and g are inverses of each other.

this question makes little sense, edit it please, as x=1 is not inverse to x-1, in any which way.
