Why are you internalizing things that are beyond your control? Focus on the things that you can control. For example, start with your own behavior. Be a good person. Act as a good person. Do the right thing in all situations. It is useless to focus on things that you can not control. You will drive yourself insane unless you realize that some things you can only be concerned about and other things you can actually have some influence in the outcome. The only thing that you can control in life is the way you react to whatever happens to you. That's it.

You need to get off the computer and pick up the phone and calla suicidal hot-line. Then you need to make an appointment with a counceler or therapist to talk through your problems (it may be there is a lot more to your current depression than global events) so you can try to understand why you are feeling so low.
I leave you with this and hope it helps... you are but one person, and while one person has the ability to make a difference, what is going on over seas should not rest soley on your shoulders. You cannot control what is going on over there and you should not feel bad for that.
Please do call someone... or tell a close friend or relative about the feelings you have before these emotions get seriously out of control.

Good luck

Although most people can sympathize with your feelings, they will normally change the complexity thoughts of the agonizing news. I am sure a computer is not a good stress blocker for you. I believe you need to join friends for outside the home activities. I always find reading a good book or having a hobby is a good remedy for mentally dealing with world problems. If you watch TV, there are always news breaks about the world problems.

Do we live in just society....if you could be with the REAL people around you, that is to say, the people that are really sensible to you, where you live, where YOU are a real person, then you may feel more real in your self. Be critical in a practical way. Learn from errors. We live in a *better* society than theirs. Answer yourself how. That's a big project.

As we are so lucky to live in OUR COUNTRY, and in our enviorment; Stop and take a look around you. We are in the best position in the world, to not only have a voice but to do something about anything that we have a choice. Don't you realize what an oppotunity you have to give mankind?

Prayer heals all things, put it in God's hand. I remember reading in Exodus when Pharaoh went after the children of Israel after they left Egypt. Right before the Red Sea was parted, God instructed his children to stand there and let him fight our battle. Don't drive yourself crazy with worry God will handle all thing. Keep the faith

i'm just one person in this big world too... everyone is... no matter how high up they may seem, no matter how much authority they may have, everyone has limits in what they can do.... i'm a Christian, so i believe that God is in control of everything, and i just trust Him, and pray.... pray, pray pray... and that is always comforting and helpful.... you don't have to carry the problems of the world on your shoulders all by yourself.... just let it go, and do what you can to help...
