I don't have any friends. Every time I make something like a friend, I push them away, or just stop trying, or they end up leaving, but not usually because of me. In my mind I'm confident and feel beutiful, but when I get out around people my own age in a public place, like the mall or a restaurant, I start to despise them. I feel like I'm old enough that I shouldn't be having these thoughts (older than 14).So how can I make friends without hating them, or hating myself for hating them? I would try a club, but I don't have many interests that people make clubs for.

Being friendly is not based on the list of friends !
And it does not matter how many people gather around us !
True friendship is already there in your nature, only manifestation is situation dependent !
Look at how close people come to each other when there is a disaster like ship wreak, train collision, storm etc... Total strangers stake their lives to save the other and walk off their ways later.
It is in comparison that you feel 'lacking' something that others 'seem' to have. If you are naturally inclined to go alone, then allow friendship to manifest of its own when a situation arises, and like minded meet.

I have a similar problem with people. You need to take it slow. for me, it takes about a year before someone can be truly called my freind. I am very critical of people- but I find that as time goes on, the things I like about them over come the things I don't like. Sounds like your the type that will have a few freinds...but they will turn out to be real close. try to find people that you have something in common with. you mention that you don't have many interests.....maybe you should try some new stuff! Who knows? don't give up, just take it slow- be at ease with it
