My four month old granddaughter holds her head to the right and when you try to move it she resists. She holds her head up well and grasps and smiles and does everything else she is supposed to do.

It might be a condition called torticollis, which literally means "twisted neck." It's usually a muscular condition, although there can be other causes. My youngest son had it, but it's gone now (he's 8 mos. old) after a few sessions with a physical therapist and some nightly stretching excercises.

Hmmm...maybe you are holding her neck up uncomfortably because when I was 10, I kept holding this little baby the wrong way, and she kept twitching and moving her head the other way. So I think it must be something to do with the way you are holding her head up.

Good luck! ^_^
