I don't think that " Amber " is slutty. It's a pretty nice name, actually I have a friend with that name. She isn't slutty at all. So one thing I can tell you is not to worry and learn to love what ever your name is ( if it is your name ) cause as soon as you fell comfortable with it you will have no more problems with it. Trust me!!!

I think Amber is a beautiful name, but my concern is why you would even ask this question. If somewhere in your mind you feel it is slutty, you may always have that feeling in the back of your mind. So, if you are planning on naming your daughter this, maybe you should not, because you have enough doubt about how you feel about the name that you had to ask for reassurance.

I know an Amber, and she is really sweet. She is also a first grade teacher, not a slutty profession,LOL! I think it is a fine name, if you like it, go with it.

Not enough time has passed for the sluttiness to have worn off of the name.
'Ginger' and 'Keisha' are also victims of the same fate.
Names like Grace, Ava, Betty, and Veronica will never go out of style. Go with one of those.

No, but I think it sounds like a dog's name. Not to be mean, but I've known a lot of golden retrievers named Amber.

No, but every Amber I have ever known has been skinny, dumb, strawberry-blonde, freckled, with blonde eyelashes and buck-teeth. And I've known more than a half-dozen. I fully recognize that this has GOT to be coincidence!!
