To pop it or not to pop it?
That's the question.
I have a white head pimple in my face, it's kinda big.
I was told that I should pop it, and after that I should get all the pus and blood out of it. But it leaves a red mark. Does this marks are forever?
I have read here that I shouldn't pop them, but that way it leaves a mark also.
What should I do?

don't pop it. It will just take longer to heal, leaving you with marks and sometimes scares on your face but not just that, the oils from the pimple spread to other pores when you pop them causing more breakouts and the process will just continue. Make sure to wash your face often and let nature take its course.

I have heard that you should not pop them too, but then when you go for facials or visit dermatology offices, they pop them. The key is to make sure that you are steaming your face while you are popping the zit. This way, the harm is much less. After popping the zit, use a micro abrasion like Neutrogena or Loreal to get rid of the mark or scar. Also use a little bit of 100% tea tree oil on the area to dry out the scar and make it less irritated.

The problem with popping is that sometimes the pus and blood goes backwards into your pores. That can cause swelling and infection. However, if you can gently drain the pus without aggressive squeezing, then you can get rid of the whitehead quicker. Apply some acne treatment medication afterward to shrink it down.

Pop It! Seriously, I know everything says not to pop, but if the whitehead has come to a head with all the puss at the top, you need to expell it. If it has not come to a head, then leave it alone.

you can pop it. i dont really ever pop my pimples and my face is clear. but i have popped 1 or 2 cuz of boredom and it kinda left a little dark spot. barely seen but then again
it depends on your skin. some ppl dont pop and it clears up then some pop it and its better for their skin

Pop it, and then apply or damp with 70% alcohol soaked in cotton. I did that when i was younger and there was no mark or hole.

What the person above me said. Sometimes, if you apply gentle pressure, everything will come out. Depends on how big it is.

DONT pop it. it'll leave an ugly scar!!!! just wash it til it fades and spot treat it!!
