i think its like girls and shoes.. alot of people are just born with it, but there are some guys who arent into cars and there are some girls not into shoes, but id really like to know the deeper reason on why guys and cars and girls and shoes. i think guys like to feel more in charge of everything even though women really control men. i once heard a quote "men are the head, but women are the neck and can make the head turn whatever way they want." but back to what i was saying.... guys like power, and cars appeal because they have lots of power with engines and getting your hands dirty fixing it and everything.... im not really sure to tell u the truth, its a good question.
hope this helps!
have a gr8 week! :)

It's not really explainable, I just love them!
And whoever said that it is guys "compensating", that is the dumbest phrase ever put together by guys who are too much of a pu$$y to just admit that they don't like cars. I don't like most sports, I'd rather be working on my car, but I don't try to say guys who like sports are "compensating" for something.
Most guys who say that are probably just upset that they are pu$$y whipped by their wives into driving a Kia minivan!

Because it's fun!
I like working on cars because I just never outgrew the taking things apart stage as a kid. It's part trying to challenge myself and part curiousity.
And racing - well, racing, even in an autocross, is like a flat roller coaster. It's just plain fun.

if cars could have sex we wouldnt need a woman, lol, think about it, the car makes us feel strong and smart, that we are better than everyone else, and being a mechanic isnt for most girls, so it makes us feel more like a man.

Yeah, you should read "Christine" by Stephen King, or you can see the movie. Talk about a guy who's into his car.
