It's 1:08pm and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I love this city for it's multi-culturalism, it's love of the arts (many cultural, music and film festivals - most of them free) and the fact that it is big enough to be interesting without being aggressive. People here are really friendly and environmentally/socially minded. And everyones from everywhere else! There are also many cool bars and lounges and each suburb also has a distinct nightlife of its own (the city was only really developed as a nightspot about 10yrs ago - before that it was very much CBD). ie: if you want jazz you go to one region, latin another, clubs the city, bars Collingwood/Fitzroy etc...It's a bit like London (but not quite so populated). It's often called the most European of Australia's citys and I have to agree!

Bethesda, Ohio 11:00 pm and I love it because it is a small town and has a lot of good people in it. We all know each other. It is like one big extended family. Most of the homes are older and were built during the "Victorian Era". We have our own lake to fish in. Everything is within walking distance. The park, the playground, post office, bank, etc. But, it's not crowded. There are "Victorian Era" cottages around the lake for summer. There is always a Yard Sale or Music in the Park. Plus, we are only 12-15 minutes from the bigger grocery stores, Wal-Mart, etc.

I live in Australia - specifically the Gold Coast, Queensland.

It is 1.05 PM and the weather today is windy, coolish and with a little rain on and off.

The Gold Coast is a tourist destination for not only Aussies but from all over the world.

The climate is moderate on average all year round, especially if you live near the beach.

The golden sands of our beaches are world renowned and the conditions are perfect for swimming, surfing, sailing, boating and fishing.

At the moment we are experiencing the yearly migration of whales, they are giving birth offshore and if we get up high and look out to sea, we can watch them frolicking on their journey.

We have a lot of canal type living, beautiful (but expensive) homes right on the water, with their own jettys, pontoons, etc.
Deep water mooring just outside your front door.

We have nightlife, restaurants, theatre, cinemas and because of the number of restaurants, it becomes very competitive, which in turn brings down the price of dining well within most peoples budget. We also have sport, sport, sport and whether you play a sport or just love to watch it, we have it all.

I love it here and live an interesting life with friends and family.

What I like most of all is that there is so much to do, which does not cost you money. eg., walking on the beach, swimming, surfing, fishing, BBQ's and bush walking within 15 mins away.

I have never been out of work and the good healthy life we live is far better than living in a big city.

Yes, you have noticed - I love my country and I am very proud to be an Aussie.

Thanks for the opportunity to brag.

Jinotepe. It is a small town in Western Nicaragua. Best thing about it, aside from the poetic name (means "hill where the corn grows"), is the weather and the fact that it is a 20 minute drive to the beach.
It is 9:55 pm right now.

I live in Isan a semi autonomous region of NE Thailand. My village is a remote rice farming community not far from the Mekong River and Laos. The people are impoverished and poorly educated, but they smile all the time. I help them, feeding the poor and tending the old and sick, I also try to find western boyfriends for the beautiful village girls that come to my resort. Time GMT +7 hours twenty past ten in the morning.
