In Covington you should check out the Mainstrasse, it is a street of mostly bars and restaurants. A particular favorite of mine is the C0ck & Bull, they have quite good food and a good beer selection. If you are looking for a little more upscale type of place head on over to Newport on the Levee, which is just on the other side of Covington coming from I-75. There they have some great restaurants including but not limited to Tropicana, Brio, Hoffbrahaus (not so upscale, but very fun with a group) and more. Good luck hope you find something that suits your tastes.

The restuarant located in the Marriott is very nice.

Plus there are several nice places in and around the Newport at the Levee -- just a few blocks from Covington. That would be my choice.

It's in Newport (next to Covington), but the Hofbrauhaus is a fun time - German food and beverages (mmm, beer) and a live band. It's usually packed, though so be prepared to wait awhile (and have more beer!).

There are really good restaurants in Newport, in Covington, you can goggle search it and it will tell you all the restaurants located in that area.

Good luck!

If this is your first time to the area, definitely go to the Revolving Restarunt. Try to be seated about one half hour before sunset. The view is wonderful and so is the food. You will be able to see a panoramic view of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
