Actually, you can get unemployment if you quit for a good reason. They'll want you to explain in detail in writing and may want a hearing. If you feel you were being harrased or the work was some how bad for your well-being, they will approve it. Just try. Go on your state DOL webside and apply.

You don't actually have to tell them that you quit, just say that you were fired. The only thing they will really investigate is that fact that you're no longer employed there. As far as being able to collect unemployment, it will depend on how much you've grossed within their quaterly limits. So if you've had other jobs within that period, they would combine your earnings and tell you how much compensation you would receive. Again, I would NOT tell them you quit because this would just drag the process. You could just say that you were laid off or let go because your vehicle was stolen and you had no other way to get to work. My friend done this several times and always ended up receiving it. But it does depend on how much money you've made from the jobs you've had in that quarter.

It depends on the state you live in and the rules that they have for unemployment. I used to live in Pennsylvania and i quit my job at Dollar Tree and for three months after that i was able to collect unemployment benefits from them. The best advice I can give you is to find a welfare office and check out the qualifications for recieving unemployment and fill out the paper work to see if you qualify. If you do you can start collecting as soon as that is completed. Good luck on recieving the benefits.

If you voluntary quit then you cannot draw benefits. If you are fired then you are not entitled to benefits. Only if your employer lays you off due to lack of work are you eligible for benefits, unless there were certain circumstances leading to your being fired, but the employer still has the right to deny benefits. If your employment has not been that long where you worked, then if you are laid off then your previous employer before the one that laid you off is responsible for the unemployement coming out the account that they paid into, if there is not enough in that account then the employer that laid you off starts paying. This is assuming that you have never drawn employment before.

No, you can't get Unemployment right away if you quit your job. You are penalized for several weeks, sometimes up to 8 weeks. Be careful.

No, you have to be laid off. The law states you are eligible for unemployment monies only if you lost your job at no fault of your own.
