I got my first one on my shoulder blade, but my second one on the back of my neck I guess because I was worried that it wasnt going to look good(it looks awesome by the way!) and then my third one on my forearm and now Im completely hooked and want them everywhere! But to answer your question, if you know what you want and feel comfortable with everyone seeing it then yeah by all means get it there!! Good Luck!

Not for your first. Get it somewhere that's easy to cover up, like above your shoulder blades. It WILL hurt no matter where you get it, and you don't know yet how you will handle it.
Also, some companies won't hire you if you have visible tats or piercings. Wait til you are older before you make that kind of statement. You also may end up hating it after you get it. My husband has 17, and three are cover pieces from something he changed his mind about. You never know how you will feel about it afterwords. I don't have any, but I've gone with him several times and there are always people there getting cover-ups or newbies that don't get the piece finished because it hurt too much.
Go for a small one in an area that's easy to hide. Then you can better decide if you want something bigger, or on your neck. The price will also depend on size and location. Make sure you have the money to blow before you walk in the door.

don't use any cleaning soap in any respect. this can be a ordinary false impression. cleaning soap dries out your epidermis and produces thicker scabs which yield deficient outcome. I have a again of the neck tattoo, and on account that it's sort of difficult to peer for your self what's happening and not using a replicate, I simply wore my hair up for a couple of days till it built a scab. don't use compresses on a scab; this quite simply prolongs treatment instances and might possibly carry ink. special folks's epidermis will heal in a different way- a few would possibly turn out to be with a thick scab even as doing the whole thing proper, and others gained't. I continually turn out to be with a hefty crust regardless of vigilant care, and all my 6 tattoos seem simply pleasant. i've beard that bacitracin is damaging to tattoo well being- take a look at natural, virgin coconut oil; it's anti inflammatroy, anti fungal and anti viral homes support thrust back illness even as offering ideal moisture at the same time. those are all approaches that I have observed to paintings such a lot beneficially; even my oldest tattoo may be very darkish with crisp traces.

No!!!! If you like tattoos, put it where you have a choice whether to show it or cover it.
When you get older, or have an opportunity for a career,
you can be counted out before they even get to know you.
Shoulder, lower back, breast, whatever, but not on your neck. You will regret it.

No!!! Wait it out and you'll be happier in the long run. I thought about getting tattoos in different places over the years, and I'm glad I never got anything. They're so overdone now.

that depends on how well you handle pain. My first one was done on my ankle and it didn't hurt, i was laughing and talking though the entire thing. However, for your first time you should probably start off with a part of your body that isn't so sensitive, maybe a part of your body that is used to being touched just so you know what your getting into.

tats are cool, but the back of the neck is an area that you cannot always hide if you have to. (Im not saying you want to hide it, but I have a tat and there are times it isnt' appropriate to show it off; ei job interviews, with clients, etc).
Start on the lower back or lower abdomen/hip or ankle.
