If evolution is right ,then shouldn't we still see things evolving?

For example, according to Darwin there were a lot of things evolving at once and dying out. Why can't anybody show me an example of a chain of evolution that's happening right now?

Mutation is not the same as evolution. and please leave out the mosquito theory.

adaptation and resistance are also not the same. Man adapted to climate changes, he didn't mutate or resist climate changes.

Because things have been evolving for 2 BILLION years. Intelligent man has been around for 10,000, possibly 20,000. The theory of evolution has been around even a much shorter time than that. Things are evolving right this very moment, it just happens so slowly that, since this thought occured to some one, nothing has had time to do so.

You're wrong. Actually mutation and evolution are very much the same thing. Mutation is how things evolve. If a mutation is a one that contributes to the survival of the species, either by better ADAPTING the species to its environment, or by improving its RESISTANCE to things that are trying to kill it, then the mutation propogates itself. That's pretty much what evolution is.

I think you need to read some more on the subject. You don't quite get it.

Perhaps the answer is you're not listening or looking. Easiest way to demonstrate that evolution is happening is with bacteria. They evolve continually. Ever heard of antibiotic resistance? Disease-causing bactera are a major problem facing medical science today as they EVOLVE that resistance! There are many more easily-understood examples all around you. Darwin's examples take much longer (millions of years) to evolve simply because they are more complex organisms. Mutations take time.

If you want a good example of things mutating now - just look at AIDS. Or antibiotics. Overusing antibiotics in the long run leads to species that are immune to them. The individual organisms that are immune to antibiotics will survive and reproduce to breed more organisms that are immune. Soon you have an entire species transformed.
