How about using according, result or conclusion in a phrase that fits like the following: Not knowing the exact sentence it is hard to think of something approapriate but
"As a result"
"Due to circumstance"
"according to the laws of physics"
Also thus, because, therefore may be helpful in brainstorming, although I usually find that these phrases make paragraphs wordy and can be elliminated altogether a lot of times.
