How about using according, result or conclusion in a phrase that fits like the following: Not knowing the exact sentence it is hard to think of something approapriate but

"As a result"
"Due to circumstance"
"according to the laws of physics"

Also thus, because, therefore may be helpful in brainstorming, although I usually find that these phrases make paragraphs wordy and can be elliminated altogether a lot of times.

in order to remain consistent with the facts,
Since the facts are....
For the reason that...

you could drop "the fact" and just keep it simple... as in "due to..."
