I had a catheter (folie) in me for 2 days, today they just removed it at 3 p.m. It's now 9:43 p.m. and I still don't have the urge to pee, is this normal? I have drank plenty of fluids but still no urge. I wonder if it's because my bladder is really empty... What do you think??

It is not normal. You may be retaining urine in your bladder due to the trauma of the foley. Another possibility is a urinary tract infection , bladder infection or kidney infection which is not uncommon after the use of a foley. Try to urinate regardless of the lack of urge. Place your fist on your belly bellow your naval where your bladder is and with the other hand push in on your fist. If you are retaining urine (and you push in the right place) the urine will release. They do this with women after labor when the bladder is bruised and not emptying . If nothing happens by midnight you need to see a doctor about it.

Ordinarily people have to urinate every 2-8 hours (yeah, I know, it's a highly variable range). Irritation to the urethra and inner sphincter may be impairing the normal sensory and reflex functions. If you don't get the urge soon try wandering over to the toilet and pose like you normally do to pee; your body may react instinctively.
