Who, in your opinion, is the most underdeveloped member of Section 9?

Much as I love Batou and Kusanagi and Togusa, I think some of the other guys need some attention. Even the original manga doesn't give them enough character development!

Saito and Paz at least got their own episodes in the TV show, but where the heck did Borma come from? And what about everyone's favorite hippie dad, Ishikawa? How did they come to be what they are?

My husband and I have a joke that Borma's voice actor has the simplest job ever; he comes in once a week for an hour, shouts "Youkai!" a couple times, and goes home.

Yeah, I have to agree that Ishikawa is the most underdeveloped. He has, however, always been there from the start. At least Ishikawa is a hacker and has a lot of parts in the show. What does Borma do anyway?

Borma should have been in that episode with Paz. Ever since the show started I thought Borma and Paz were partners. They seem like they are always together. They are the most quiet in the show.

The criminals are more developed than Ishikawa or Borma.

I have to agree with you that Boma is the least used character. Heck, even the tachikomas had an episode centered on them. Batou had the lead in the second movie GitS:Innocence and Togusa was featured there too as his partner.
