Given the opportunity to alter these guys histories before they became scum, please detail what you would do with:
1) Hitler
2) Stalin
3) Judas
Remember, you can't kill them; you have to do something else with them , like find them new jobs / locations / relationships, etc. Life imprisonment is a cheat; try to be creative if you still want to punish.
The 10 goes to the answers that would make the most sense, historically. Good luck!

Lots of good responses so far; it's gonna be a tough call. Those who cry 'paradox' just aren't trying hard enough, in my book ;P

1. I would have stopped Gavrilo Princip (the Black Hand assassin) from assassinating Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo in 1914 (which snowballed into World War 1). If this assassination had not occured there would not have been a first world war and possibly not a second world war. Germany was completely humiliated by the concessions given to the allies during the Versailles Treaty ending World War 1 and caused much animosity which in turn was directed towards the Jews. I also would have taken Hitler out of his father's home (who was extremely abusive towards little Adolf and turned him over to a loving family - as a second precaution.)
2. I would have greatly encouraged the Romanov family to stay out of World War 1, or at least withdraw from it once the revolutionaries started causing trouble. This would have stopped Lenin from taking power and thereby Stalin from taking power. However, review answer number one because if the assassination of the Archduke had not taken place, then Russia would have never been in the war and famine and desolation would not have been the topic de jour in Russia and thus no need for a communist revolution.
3. Now for the hard one. I wouldn't have done anything. You see, according to Christian prophecy, Jesus had to die. It was prophesied that he would be betrayed. So bottom line? If it hadn't had been Judas, it would have been someone else. Of course, you could get into a huge theological discussion about the ramifications of Jesus not dying on the cross and then of course you must decide for yourself if you believe in His death and what it means.

1) Hitler: That's not too hard. Convince the academy that he would be a reasonable artist given the time.
2) Stalin: Convince the seminary that he was attending to not turn him into an atheist. Seminaries unfortunately do a good job of that, so it might be a challenge.
3) Judas: Tell the other apostles not to vote him as treasurer. Part of Judas' problem was when one of the women used oil to anoint Christ's feet which Judas thought was a waste of money. If he didn't have contact with the ledger, he might not have been as concerned.

1) I'd have Hitler find a kindly Jewish patron who would support Adolf's career as an artist, then find a position for him in Switzerland.
2) Stalin's father, Vissarion, would have undergone some sort of religious conversion that would cause him to foreswear drinking and the domestic abuse of his wife and children.
3) Regarding Judas, I guess I wouldn't change a thing, since Jesus' martyrdom is the key to Christian belief. (I am not a believer, myself.) Furthermore, Judas, according to recent findings, believed he was carrying out the will of God by bringing about Jesus' arrest and subsequent crucifixion, so I don't consider him scum.

Because of the paradox at work, you wouldn't want to do anything. Consider: Your grandfather was in WWII and he met your grandmother while stationed at an Army base somewhere. They got married and had one of your parents, who in turn had you. If you went back and got Hitler a job as a paperhanger which was what he originally was (he hung wallpaper in case you're wondering), then World War II would never have been fought. If the war hadn't been fought, your grandparents wouldn't have met. If they hadn't met, one of your parents wouldn't have been born. If they hadn't been born, you wouldn't have either and therefore, you couldn't go back and make a change. See the paradox? You'd wipe yourself out of existence. This is why if time travel ever becomes a reality, it would only be used for purposes of observation and never to make a change, no matter how far back in history you went - even if you went back to the days of the cave men - all it would take is what you might think is one change and everything is changed.

1. turn Hitler into a well known artist, by adopting his work as the artist of the time.
2. Take Stalin away from his family. Apparently, he had a rough childhood that turn him into who he was later in life.
3. Judas, the bible Judas? I don't know, since he was a greedy man, I would just let him rule his own island or land as far away from Jesus as possible.

Historically speaking.....you cannot change timelines.
It's like the old story about tossing a small pebble into a still lake.
That one pebble will cause a ripple.
The ripple will course through the entire pond.
And the pond will be forever changed.
Changing history all the way back to Judas?
That could be some scary business ending with you might not even being born.
