If you want a cheaper version of proactiv, buy:

1. a gentle cleanser (like Cetaphil or Spectro jel)
2. a good toner/astringent (like Clean & Clear)
3. a 2.5%-5% benzoyl peroxide cream (Spectro vanishing cream or Clean & Clear persa-gel 5) C&C 10 is available but that can seriously irritate your skin. Try to get something for "sensitive skin" to reduce the risk of allergies or irritation.
4. a gentle facial moisturizer (like Moisturel - it's important that the moisturizer you use isn't oily or heavy, it has to be for sensitive skin and quick absorbing and light)

When you've gone through the first 2 steps of cleansing your face and applying the toner, make sure your fingertips are clean and put a drop (size of a small pea) of the benzoyl cream and a drop of the moisturizer on your fingertip and mix together. Apply to your entire face and gently massage in. Do this everyday (once or twice) and you should see results in 2 weeks if not sooner. You may find that you get a few more minor pimples when you first start using it, but that's just the dormant ones coming to the surface. If you find your face gets too dry, try using bit more lotion than the benzoyl cream, OR apply more moisturizer afterwards. And if you have 1 or 2 really bad/big pimples put a separate dab of the benzoyl cream directly on them. Good luck!

I tried it and it didn't change anything. It works better than using nothing, but if you already wash your face and use an acne medication, it won't work any better than that. Honestly, I tried everything - Oxy, Stridex, Clearasil, Proactive, Mary Kay, prescription stuff, anitbiotics, vitamins - you name it. When I was about 19, it finally started to clear up on its own. I'm 28 now and I still get small break outs, but not very often. It will get better someday, I promise.

Pro-Active worked for me for awhile, but then my face got accustomed to it. But I have very finicky skin. I had Accutane treatments that wore off after just a little while because my body became immune to the treatment. Proactive is good stuff. They have also changed their ordering program. It used to be that they would send all three pieces every 45 days no matter what. Now you can order it at your own pace and get only the solutions you need at that time. I used to get stuck with a lot of repair lotion that I didn't need.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Use a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream like oxy 5. You have to apply it twice a day. Within a week thay should be mostly gone - you may need to keep applying it everyday to keep them away though. Biore doesn't do anything.

I'm a school teacher...Let's just say that it works for some, and doesn't for others. Some people, no matter how much they use, wont work. It's just a developmental stage in life. Almost everyone gets pimples

Proactive works extremely well. You won't think it's working for the first two weeks because it seems like it brings all the zits out, but I promise it works.

It works quite well if you trust all the testimonials about it. I myself haven't used it, but it gets good reviews.

it odes work but you can't skip on a night or else you don't see results but it can be very drying for your skin but i guess it's one of those things that depends on your type of skin but it does work.
