Share with him your perceptions of how he is not equally initiating or giving to the relationship. See if he will step up. Guys are often clueless, thinking they do a lot, and others do little. They rarely see all the good others are doing for them. Give him notice of what you want and see how he responds. If he doesn't change, look for other friends to give you what you were looking for in him.

he may just be one of those folks who doesn't think about the importance of friends. He is taking you for granted, prolly because he doesn't know any better. He prolly never lacked for attention and therefore doesn't know how to act in order to get you back as a friend.
If his brother makes it seem as though he misses your visits, then I think you should get off your high horse, go over there and tell him why you haven't been over there in a while. It will either mean something to him or not. And at least then you will know one way or another.

sounds to me more like a relationship rather than a friendship. girl u need to get a life and leave him alone unless you have a crush on the fella. u don't need to be visiting him everyday and calling him..he doesn't care for u like that he ain't gave a **** bout you. he's a parasite can't u see all he does is take and take from you and gave nothing in return not even friendship that you so desperately need. fine your self a hubby and stop stressing.

Dude, are you gay or what? I get the feeling you are hinting around that you are "interested" in this friend but you don't know if he accepts it or feels the same way.
-OR-
He may just be one of those fairweather friends who expects you to do everything to prove your friendship while he just sits there and soaks up your generosity. If that is the case, you should kick him to the curb until he realizes the value of a true friend and comes back acting like one.

sounds like he could be a bit mental, why is he blaming his own brother??? Seriously, I think that sometimes people dont realize what they have until it is gone. He doesnt sound like a great friend, I would just ask him straight up what the deal is.

He is self centered, and it is up to you . to set him straight the reason you did what you have done, not his brothers. you re in the wrong for letting his brother take the blame.
