it came out a while ago maybe few years. but its a bout people who have robots as maids and this one robot is smart and loves the kids in the family. metal robots and stuff like that. He then later on starts gettin updates of things that humans use to get closer of being human cause he wants to be 100% human. then he is accepted by the governement that he is 100% human and dies at the end of the movie. so do you guys know which movie that is?

I believe the movie you referred to is Robin Williams in "Bicentennial Man".
Based on the short story by Isaac Asimov, it was released in 1999, the movie chronicles the journey of a robot named Andrew on his quest to be a ordinary human being.
It was an Ok movie can't say that it was one of Robin Williams' best work. Felt it dragged a little too long, lol.
But the ending was a real tear jerker, a heart warming sci-fi movie.
