I am sending iformation over an encrypted page, that a third party can veiw, is all I understand. Is this a bad thing, if so how can I stop it?

Such messages appear when you submit a form through a website that does not have Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). In most cases, just go ahead and proceed if you're not sending any information that is considered "sensitive" (i.e. credit card details, identification numbers, etc).
